Honolulu Hawaii, August 14th, 1945

Before 'Ye got there for sure haha. God I love old 16mm film. Such nostalgia and life captured here. Truly some Ice Cube "Today was a good day" type shit. It's so crazy to think how many people just like us already lived this life, these struggles, and these summers. Makes you wanna just have your fun and be a part of it all..

"65 Years Ago my Dad shot this film along Kalakaua Ave. in Waikiki capturing spontaneous celebrations that broke out upon first hearing news of the Japanese surrender. Kodachrome 16mm film: God Bless Kodachrome, right" - Richard Sullivan
