*New Music* How To Make It In America (T.Shirt Remix)

Darvin got me this beat last week and I've been wanting to do this since. Figured I'd take some time out from the Tan-Face sessions and  being that it's Episode 3 on HBO tonight, why not? The joint by Aloe Blacc is just fucking incredible man. Classic. Don't be mad but I needed to do my thing for a minute ! We're still not so sure about the show to be honest but you gotta love the great music woven throughout. And HBO just kills it all the time.

"Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child" (Trailer)

This looks really very interesting. Tamra Davis speaks in text in the beginning of the trailer about getting to do these interviews with Basquiat and never getting to release them. Then after he died only 2 years later, she locked the footage away in a drawer and here it is after 20 years unseen. Stuff like this always interests me crazy. Jean-Michel Basquiat was truly one of a kind.

Cudi is back taking pictures, talking shit, the usual. I miss him on Twitter actually haha. Funny kid that Stoner.

Rihanna Performing "Rude Boy" For T.Shirt/AOL Sessions

I just had to post this. I'm not sure Ri has ever looked or sang sexier than this. She is bad man, very bad. She just looks like she'll take it and throw it right back on you.

*New Music* Twenty Two - Theo Martins and Wakey Wakey

Paul Cantor sent this one over. Him and his artist Theo Martins are making some dope moves and I like this record. I believe he said this was originally a song by indie New York band Wakey! Wakey! and him and Theo did an official remix. That's what's up, that's the dream ! Good shit. Song's not bad either. I usually hear these things and feel a way about it but this one sounds real easy and cool.

Banksy Presents The Lambeth Palace

This is mad dope. Can't front, they took our idea, but it's love. Artist Banksy is premiering and showing his new flick "Exit Through The Gift Shop" in an underground tunnel underneath London's Waterloo train station. They outfitted the spot with popcorn stall, lounge bar and toilet facilities. That's how the fuck you do it. Couch and comfy chairs for the important people and all that. Dope shit.

*New Video* Address - Curren$y & Stalley (Creative Control)

T.Shirt x Darvin Silva 'Tan-Face Children EP' - Monday Massacre (Official) Release

Very happy to announce this right there. In a first-ever collaboration with The Connoisseurs Of Culture, a progressive media collective comprised of TheCouchSessions.com, Different Kitchen (DifferentKitchen.blogspot.com) and Pleasedontstare.comDarvin Silva and I come together to bring you our debut EP, Tan-Face Children. You're gonna get  some real interesting and colorful verses from me this time around, over real underground, crazy-worldly beats. Retro Electro King Darvin Silva hand-picked all the music and went to town on final mixes haha.

*We kick things off with 'Monday Massacre', you might have heard it a few months ago but you never heard the full mastered version. Do yourself a favor and get the official jawn. If you never heard the song, it's a 'frighteningly' strong track which puts you right in the pocket of what what we're thinking musically. Produced by Mr. Oizo, I take you down to what sounds like an illegal dogfight in a London basement. Yeah, that's what the fuck we on right now. Tan-Face Children drops world-wide March 9th.

Shout to Darvin !

Pharrell For Billionaire Boys Club/Ice Cream Spring 2010

I have to admit these guys weren't doing it for me a couple years ago. Now we're talking though. Looks like a great line, seriously. There's a couple of ridiculous pieces of course, don't get it twisted haha, but still an overall solid, fun and light line great for a much-needed Spring.

Check out the lookbook here

Phoenix - "Lisztomania"

What a great song man.

*New Music* Dope Girl By Harlem's Cash

There's a lot of unsigned rappers in the world, my city, and honestly, very few I actually like. Although I do respect grind and hardwork, this site focuses on quality over quantity and if I don't feel your shit is up to par, it doesn't make the cut. There's a couple people I've been waiting to drop some ill shit I can really get behind and I have to say Harlem's Cash is one of them. This right here is a dope record and deserves a place on your iTunes.

Listen/Download Dope Girl - Harlem's Cash

Jay-Z & Bun B In Houston For The BP3 Tour

I don't post these bad quality concert things but this was too ill to pass up. Last night at the Jay-Z show in Houston, Hov brought out Bun B for the "Big Pimpin'" set and they both, with the majority of the help coming from the crowd, went into the deceased Pimp C's verse. Shit is classic right here. I found myself glued to the screen with a big smile on my face haha.

Photos By Phil.the.God

This guy is great. We have some stuff coming out that I'm really excited about. He has one of the dopest young eyes out here and he's making a lot of moves right now. Some of these photos up top should let you in to his world a little bit. Shot with the Red by the way. Yeeaaah.

Check a lot more flicks and work out here at www.philthegod.com

How To Make It In America *Episode 2*

Blue Room Approved ha ! I do wanna see where they take this right here. It's nice to have something for Sunday nights again but by no means does this come close to the favorites. The Curbs, the Entourage's, even the new joint I can't remember right now about the writer guy. We like that there. Anyway, enjoy.

Behind The Scenes With Puff For New Times Square Billboard

To me, the billboard in Times Square for Sean John with Puff with his fist up is one of the best in the city. That and the Hov one of the Brooklyn Bridge. It's just them, mad big haha. Nah but Puff's shit is my favorite. Looks like he's doing an updated one. Cool behind the scenes going on up top.

Thorocraft Autumn Shoes

These make me dream of summer. Cut-off khaki Dickies, clean white Polo tees, black shades, tattoos.. and these.

Handmade footwear is where it's at

*Hilarious Music* AAAAAAAANGRY - Aziz Ansari & Dave Sitek

I heard an early version of this yesterday and it's fuckin' hilarious. Genius actually. Do yourself a favor and get this right now. Aziz is definitely one of the funniest and most original young comics to date and I hope we hear a great deal more from him. If you're not aware, Dave Sitek most notably produces for friends of mine, T.V. On The Radio.

Listen/Download AAAAAAAANGRY - Aziz Ansari & Dave Sitek

*New Video* Al Be Back - Jungle (Creative Control)

I like Al. B, he's seems cool and this track specifically shows me a side of him I didn't know he had. Brings me back to the days I did my spoken-word, rap shit downtown. This is crazy abstract and interesting. As far the video goes, I think it was a cool concept using the painters but to me it could have been executed better I think. Is Creative Control wearing themselves thin a little bit? Is this even really them shooting stuff like this or have they recruited a bunch of students? Not that that would be wak but I'm saying..

L.A. Reid Flies To Belize To Sign Shyne To Def jam

Eskay has some words for the whole L.A. Reid/Shyne situation and like most times I agree with him. If the 2 million dollar deal is true I think that's absolutely crazy. It's not that I don't think Shyne deserves it. That man deserves all the success and happiness in the world in my book, but shit, a 2 million dollar deal is just not being realistic for an artist like Shyne at all. Not to mention L.A. flying to Belize in a private jet to get the contracts signed? Gimme a break.

Read Eskay's take here.

*and what the hell is Shyne wearing?

Pitchfork TV Talks In-Depth To Gil Scott-Heron

This is so interesting. Pitchfork goes in to where Gil Scott-Heron's been working with his long time fan and Producer to create, or rather recreate what they believe is a resurgence in love and acceptance of what Heron can do. What a talent my God, what a voice. They talk about ow Kanye sampled Heron on the Common-laced "Home Is Where The Heart Is" record and how that put some real fire under their ass to come back out. Dope shit.

Coldest Winter (Directed By Nigel Elderkin)

Though I understand the magnitude of what it takes to make something like this, I just don't feel it, my bad. I respect the shit out of all parties involved and the remix and added song elements are great but the images and overall visual just don't sit well with me. Very "Lord of the Rings" type shit. Anyway, I'm not sure why the guys waited so long to drop this. It's been a year and a half since 808's (which I loved by the way). I don't understand the marketing behind putting this out now. *Kanye shrug*

*(I never used the *Kanye shrug* thing, did I pull it off?)

*New Music* Rick Ross x Birdman "Pray For Me"

I don't normally post little clip type shit but this song just takes me there. What a beat, wow. Rick Ross is the best. Hopefully we get the full of this sometime soon. This is off a collection of B-Sides and remixes DJ Folk and Rick Ross are putting out while we wait for that "Teflon Don" shit.

Listen/Download Pray For Me - Rick Ross & Birdman

Breaking Down 'Hard Knock Life' With Jay-Z & Everybody Involved

Again, this is why YN is so ill. He says he just found this while cruising around looking for Hov concert footage. What it is, is an amazing recap of just how Jay-Z got his hands on the "Annie" sampled Hard Knock Life song which is probably still one of his biggest records to date. Everybody knew Jay-Z after that song. This is great footage right here.

*Update* the full episode of the show was found and it's even more incredible as they actually went and spoke to the original composer, the all-grown-up girl who played Annie, kids from Marcy, Kid Capri etc. They really went in, this is mad ill to watch. I still believe YN was the first to find it. Much respect Killa.

Robert Pattinson Details Magazine Photoshoot

Here, while I'm on Hollywood guys thing, Robert Pattinson a.k.a. the vampire kid, guy, whatever took some pretty wild pictures for the 10 Year Anniversary Details Magazine I just bought. I haven't got around to reading any of the article yet but there's some pretty titillating stuff complete with the quote, "I really hate vaginas". Yeah I love them so I dunno.

Guess Who Guest Blogs For Revokt.com

My man Wink and I had a long overdue sit down last night in his Dumbo studio and discussed a number of projects coming up, one of which I'd love to share now. For the past year or so his home at Revokt.com has grown into a full and accomplished site doing great numbers and showcasing a ton of exclusive and on-the-pulse content. I've been a loyal reader myself and last night I joined the team. Obviously it's a bit of a tailored situation for someone who does as much as I am right now but it's exciting nonetheless and I enjoy the platform the kid has created. Look for good things !

Check Revokt out here. Bookmark it and all that, and look for me in the lifestyle section.

Jay-Z Interview with Jonathan Ross

Great interview with Jonathan Ross who Hov has sat with before. Very comfortable and finally some new things are said. I have no problem posting interesting and telling interviews like this one. It's the monotonous low-quality joints that you'll never see on my site. Props to the boy Yardie.

Michael Jackson's "Bad" Video Exhibition At Hoyt-Schermerhorn Train Station

Many people don't know this but the 16-minute Martin Scorsese-directed "Bad" video was actually shot right in Brooklyn 23 years ago. In a nice little move to help the growing the community and shed some light on the historic short film, The Downtown Brooklyn Partnership local development corporation plans an artistic tribute that "could be the size of a huge mural and possibly rely on lights and projection at nighttime". Sounds pretty ill.

B:Scott Double Mock Hoodie

Step your hoodie game up boys. I hope I forever love the everyday piece but it's nice to see some cool additions to the family. Rather than bright colors and idiot features, I'd like to see more designers play with the architecture of it all. What a great hood and fall this thing got. Great pieces from the kid.

"Kate the Great" for Harper's Bazaar US

Truly one of my favorites, doing what she does best. Rolling around in bed with a couple of boys, looking gorgeous for Peter Lindbergh. The pout mouth on this woman astonishes me.

Rae x Meth x Ghost - *Wu-Massacre (Artwork + Tracklist)*

I just wanted to put it out there that I'm really feeling the artwork on this thing. The illustration is by Chris Bachalo while art direction credits go to Alex Haldi. Talented kids. Great look for the three legends of Rap. Now, let's hope this thing sells. Sorry wait, let's help this thing sell. Good to see Rae working so hard nowadays. I think for the most part, artists are understanding now more than ever that you really get out this game what you put into it. Rae is all over Twitter, touring like a madman, recording, doing press etc., while his incredible last album is still selling 4 months after it came out. That's what the fuck is up. Wu-Massacre drops March 30th. You can pre-order it here.

2. Meth vs. Chef
3. Ya Moms Skit

A couple of talented MTV kids I occasionally play poker with drop their new video off haha. All of my people worked on this thing in post so it's nice to see the crispy, just-finished version making it's way around the vast internets. Filmed on location using real Hershey employees by the way. Looking good boys !

Real Style (As Stolen On The Sartorialist)

I like to steal things from the incredible site that inspire me. The pieces on this woman are just remarkable.  Remember kids, fashion shit means nothing in the grand scheme of things.  If your other priorities are in order and you know how to dress, that's cool beans.

*Why did I just say cool beans?

Curren$y "Pilot Talk" (Trailer)

I don't know what it is about this kid that I'm so enamored with. He seems like truly a cool nigga. The beat at the end is fucking crazy. Sounds like Ski. And that shot in the beginning off the roof surrounded by buildings is so ill.

24 Hour Karate School (Trailer) *Mixtape Pushed Back*

Ski and Dame's 24 Hour Karate School Mixtape was supposed to drop today and in a very ballsy move they pushed it back till March 30th. I say ballsy because I was just presented with the chance to do the same and opted not to in fear people would lose interest and what not. I have a lot more to lose I guess. Anyway, they offer this 11-minute trailer instead and I must admit it's very entertaining. This place has such a vintage feel to it, the fact that it's thriving in 2010, downtown New York is incredible to me. May God bring these guys copious amounts of money to keep the lights on and the rappers fly.

My guess is Dred's been watching all the fights I've had with girlfriends in the past haha. Watch as I get beat bloody by Shorty and thrown around by a bunch of fake cops in Brooklyn. "We Are The World" 25th Anniversary For Haiti

This is actually a lot better than I thought it would be. I love Wayne's part haha. I don't understand all the dumb hating on this. Yeah it was classic and for a great cause, and it still is. Music has evolved.  Anybody that can't see we still have great and poignant artists around is close-minded. My bad.

Valentine's Day Dance Party This Saturday Night

Don't get it twisted, this is not a couple's thing ! By all means if you're in love and you come with your significant other to dance the night away, then you're all good, but ! I personally know many good loooking single people that will be in the building and I don't give a fuck, I'm playing cupid with some of you ! For real though it should be a great time with music by them boys Darvin Silva, Ferola, and mothafukin' Will Divide, along with special, live performances by The Astor Kings, and Myself. Yeah, and boy do we got some shit planned oooweeeee. See you there.

*It's a house party so it's free. Come through, say what's up.

Leonardo DiCaprio Interview w/ Esquire Magazine

Damn my Shorty loves this guy haha. It's okay though, so do I. Great pics, great sit-down with one of Hollywood's golden boys.

"When I was eighteen, River Phoenix was far and away my hero. Think of all those early great performances — My Own Private Idaho. Stand by Me. I always wanted to meet him. One night, I was at this Halloween party, and he passed me. He was beyond pale — he looked white. Before I got a chance to say hello, he was gone, driving off to the Viper Room, where he fell over and died.
That's a lesson."

Opening Ceremony x Pendelton Trousers

God when I see pants like this I can't wait for spring. Buy them for $250

*I'd probably replace the plaid with a light denim material, but that's just me.

*Though it has nothing to do with the pants up top, I know how important Alexander McQueen was to the fashion world. From what I've read and heard about the man, he was a true artist and innovator when it came to his art and for at least that alone, I tip my hat. I didn't follow him (as I don't any of these guys, I just like to dress), so I'm not really the best to speak on his legacy. From what I understand he was found dead at home. That's never a good thing. My condolences to the family.

Learn about the man here.

1 Million Dollar Hublot Big Bang x Depeche Mode Timepiece

I can't get over how ill these watches look. Hublot were already doing beautiful work but to team up Depeche Mode for some pretty groundbreaking stuff is very cool. Not to mention it's for a good cause. The watches will be auctioned off and will benefit Teenage Cancer Trust. There's 12 different designs in total.

Check them out here, bid here

*In all honesty, the Hublot Big Bang didn't need much. What a gorgeous and solid piece.

Ski, Dame, them Creative Control boy and all them mothafuckin' rappers come together and release of gang of music we've probably been seeing visuals for February 15th. I know a thing or two about strong teams.

T.Shirt's Featured On XXLMAG.com "Bangers Section" For 'Dear Sade'

Waking up in a rush this morning to get to set I saw that I got a text from Paul, "XXL's putting the song up any minute". What a beautiful feeling that was, my God. Forgive me..

..on the sporadic posts these last couple of days. I've been downtown shooting the pilot episodes of a series we're shopping. I'm not letting too much information go but it involves some key players, and some very talented people. Anyway, I'd still be posting with all the time spent on-set doing nothing, but for some reason this gorgeous loft all brick-walled, sexy and all doesn't have any wi-fi. Try and figure that one out. I couldn't.
