Lessons working with Steve Jobs? Focus. Steve was the most focused person I've met in my life. It's terrifying that when you really truly focus, it seems a bit illegal. You can achieve so much. Steve would say "How many things have you said no to?" And I would have these sacrificial things...and he knew that I wasn't interested in doing those things anyway. What focus means is saying no with every bone in your body to something you know is a good idea but you say no because you're focused on something else. I remember talking to Steve Jobs and asked why he was perceived as harsh. And I said couldn't we be more moderate? And he said why? And I said because I care about the team. And he said: "No Jony, you're just really vain. You just want people to like you. I'm surprised at you, because I thought you really held the work up as the most important and not how you are perceived by people." People misunderstood Steve because he was so focused.
Let’s talk for a second about this new American economy — one marked by new industry and commerce, humming with new energy and new technology, and being driven forward by highly skilled, higher-wage workers. Our medical professionals are part of a workforce that also includes folks who are developing cutting-edge software to help us diagnose diseases. We’re not just punching in and pounding rivets — we’re coding computers and guiding robots. In this new economy, an entrepreneur can start a new business and succeed, an older worker who sees opportunity in a new field has resources available to retool for that new job, and a student can graduate from college with the chance to advance through a vibrant job market. I saw this new economy at Pittsburgh’s TechShop, one in a chain of community centers where members get access to professional tools, equipment, and software, as well as the space they need to make or design or prototype almost anything — for the same price you’d pay for a gym membership.

When they started dating Kanye came up to me and said we should all get dinner, so they came to Paris to visit me. I like the girl. She's cool, she's also different from what people think. She's very special. Very beautiful. Then I found out from fashion people that people didn't like her, people didn't want anything to do with her. I'm a Leo and Italian and very proud, so I didn't change my way about them. I invited them to the show, started doing special projects with them, dressing them and I got killed so much. But that's what you do to be a friend, to be real - you don't care about what people are saying.
Even better when the guys who made the thing you enjoy so much worked super hard to get where they're at. Finally got to catch the doc a few days ago and it really is fucking great. If you can't find it in theaters where you're at, you can rent it on iTunes. Do it.
