R.I.P. Biggie

To me, Big was the illest. That's to put it as simply as I can. His voice, his delivery, his ability to tell a story, his sense of humor, his laugh, his style. I feel like if you listen hard enough to certain records you can hear where he was going. More of who he might've wanted to be. How do you make the struggle of a drug-dealer from Brooklyn a world anthem? Because we are that man. We are that father, that big son, that kid dreaming of good things. I think he would have been so incredible had he lived to see the world change, had he lived to change the world. It's been 13 years. This ugly, black mothafucka was our Elvis, our John Lennon, our Kurt Cobain. Today we celebrate his life and work. Remember the titans. Peace playboy.

*Bonus* My man Benhameen found this gem. Turns out Big was doing then, what Jay is doing now.
