"The Beat Of New York" By Thomas Noesner

I can never get enough of these peaks into New York. Although filmed from a very outsider point of view, there's something to be said about such an angle. Are we really all that quick moving and sporadic? Just once I'd like to see a real New Yorker make such an ode. I don't mean "real" in the sense of from one of neighborhoods or whatever. I mean someone with an intimate experience of all different kinds of streets and homes, people and places. How many times can we see a sped up Times Square go from day to night? Anyway, what makes this one special is the excellent soundtrack of music created by StereoScreen sound designer, Toussaint, using one of those omnipresent subway drummers. Inspiring stuff.
