Damn, this is like really hot to me. Got me actually thinking maybe I should cop a BMX bike for the rest of summer. A lot of people don't know this but I used to be pretty nasty on a bike. I spent a couple thousand dollars in the late 90's and specifically had this one dark red Mongoose I put a lot of love into until it got stolen. Rust Heap, a multi-brand collaboration bike by longtime BMX pro Mike Ardelean and Tim Swart of UNIV got its first test run this past weekend. "The Verde Cartelframe/fork/bars were painted by The Laboratory to look like rust. It was given many layers of paint in different textures over a multi-week period to achieve the look of something that had been pulled from the bottom of the ocean." Hot shit.
