Drunk at the Hov Concert

Last night Ayes Rock and I went to the Jay-Z Concert at MSG where the Brooklyn kid brought the house down around him. Though our seats weren't the best, early on we both agreed just to be in the building was gonna be dope as it always is when you go to a Jay-Z show. The energy in there is the type of shit dreams are made of. After we all stood for the Pledge of Allegiance, the man of the 2 hours hit the stage. All black everything of course. (I was blacked out too I might add). Hov started out the show with his newest hit, one of the strongest songs off BP3, Empire State Of Mind. "..now I live in Tribeca, right next to Dinero, but I'll be hood forever.." At times Hov sounded incredibly strong and I'm sure for most people in there it was like that through and through, for me though, I rap. I hear the little breaths in between lines I've never heard him take before, I heard the fumbling of words and forgetting of certain parts. It's all good, that's the shit that helps me remember the nigga's human. At times though, you're not even sure. We've never seen anything like this guy and there's a good chance we never will again.

*Among those that hit the stage with Jay there was Kid Cudi, Mary J Blige, Pharrell, Bleek, John Mayer, Kanye West, Rihanna, Beyonce, Swizz Beats, and Puff (who I'm gonna love forever).

*For real though, John Mayer killed it. He looked ill and played ill, going through at least 7 different famous Jay-Z records with his electric guitar. Hip-Hop loves this guy.
