Linking up with Apple Corps Ltd. – the London-based company that manages the legacy and musical catalog of the The Beatles – Rei Kawakubo and her famed label COMME des GARCONS makes an official announcement of an upcoming bag project paying tribute to the legendary British band. So far, it seems like the collection will feature a selection of bags under The Beatles/COMME des GARCONS label with the first releases set to make a debut at Dover Street Market in London as well as Gyre in Tokyo, then followed by a wider release. According to the press, it seems like the deal between both parties will be a long-term arrangement, leaving the opportunity for future product open to interpretation.
