Wiz Khalifa Has The Number One Record In The Country With "Black & Yellow"

Finally! I knew it would be close after hearing it was at #4 last week but seeing and hearing is mothafuckin' believing, baby. Just last year Wiz was flying as under the radar as they come when me and Dred caught him at a Nahright sponsored show in the city. Who knew Curren$y's skinny friend with the tattoos would be the star he is today? Fucking wild. I sense the moon for this kid. His debut major label LP, Rolling Papers, drops March 29th.

As perhaps as consolation for forlorn Pittsburgh Steelers fans, Wiz Khalifa's Steel City anthem "Black and Yellow" ascends to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, jumping 4-1.
Though the Steelers lost Super Bowl XLV Sunday (Feb. 6) to the Green Bay Packers, the song registered gains in sales and airplay in the week leading up to the NFL title tilt. The Rostrum/Atlantic MC's "Black and Yellow" holds at No. 2 on Digital Songs (198,000 downloads sold, up 6%, according to Nielsen SoundScan) and pushes 10-7 on Radio Songs (81 million audience impressions, up 11%, per Nielsen BDS).
"Black and Yellow" displaces Bruno Mars' "Grenade" (1-2) after four nonconsecutive weeks atop the Hot 100, while Katy Perry's "Firework" holds at No. 3. -
